The goal of the project was to analyze the current situation and clarify all applications that authenticate themselves to the Active Directory or write to it, and to create a concept and feasibility study and implement the migration in a further step.

To create a migration concept with a technical feasibility analysis and economic cost calculation of the migration including the optimal licensing issue... In order to check the planning document for completeness and correctness, a test setup was set up with selected users.
The test setup was done on Hyper-V servers so that no investment in new servers was necessary in the first step. In the second step of the migration, a server cluster with 3 servers and new storage was implemented.
